I can hardly believe it!

This is Dante's honest to goodness final sniff of the blankie. He was excited to turn five and become a grown up kid, until night time came and he needed something to sniff.
We are so proud of him for making this decision. We only had a couple of sad nights, but I think they are all behind us now!

Zayda likes to wrinkle her nose and show off all six of her teeth when she smiles!
I took this picture right as she was starting to flip forward and fall on her face down the slide at the park. She only cried for a minute. She sure had a great time sliding though! By the way it was Jake's idea to just let her go.

We started to let Azayda cry it out at night when we first put her to bed. She gets so upset. She stands right up the second we lay her down, even if she is sound asleep. She cries for a while until she is too tired to stand and then she'll sit down and cry. In this picture it looks like she was on her knees. But anyway, she does this every night and gets so exhausted that she falls to sleep like this! She was totally asleep, just hanging there. I couldn't resist! The other night I went to check on her after it was quiet for a while and she was completely folded in half! Poor baby. That can't be good for anyone.

I love Dante's face in the second photo, you can tell he's trying to be brave, but he's not happy about it.

Azayda is so cute, how old is she now? I hate the whole "crying" to sleep, it sucks, but it's a necessary evil if you ask me.

Hooray for Dante! This must be a bittersweet moment to him. Madison had a REALLY hard time giving up sippy cups at bedtime - kind of embarrassing but there you go. About two weeks before she turned 5 she announced that when she turned 5 she would be a big girl and wouldn't drink from a sippy cup anymore. True to her word she didn't. Yay! She also was able to stay dry all night about this time too. Woo hoo!

That is such an adorable yet pitiful picture of Azayda in the crib. It's so hard to let them cry it out!

HIGH FIVE DANTE!!! It's so funt o watch these kids grow up. What a precious pic of Zadya. It's amazing that they can fall asleep in the oddest positions.

Good for Dante. Brave boy! It was harder having them give up thumbs. They were always attached!
